Vännäs is one of the largest clinics of the District Veterinarians. The District Veterinarians in Vännäs, located about 30 kilometers outside Umeå, have a spacious facility adapted for the reception of both small and large animals, where we operate around the clock.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We work in teams, and we are now looking for staff for the small animal team. We have several experienced veterinarians who together have a very broad competence. Emergency care and investigations are part of the work. Readiness for acute illness cases and accidents is a natural part of the job, as it is part of our mission and something we are proud to offer. We also have animal caregivers scheduled during evenings and weekends to facilitate the work. Emergency care is the most important thing we do, and there are good opportunities for both interesting and developing work. We perform surgeries and dental treatments almost daily and have high demand for our services.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are now looking for a veterinarian with either extensive or limited experience in small animal care. Good development opportunities exist, and requests for specialization in certain areas are often possible to accommodate. Experience from work with imaging diagnostics, medical investigations, and emergency care is an asset but not a requirement. If you are a surgeon or have dental training, there are also good opportunities for development.

The person we are looking for should be quality-conscious and have a desire to work for the best interests of the animals and for good and personal service to the pet owners. We place great importance on good collaboration skills, computer proficiency, and personal suitability. On-call duty is included in the position, which is why we value that you are both self-sufficient and have good judgment.
